CANCELLATION

Any cancellation must be made in writing and received by RSB Travel Pty Ltd with the timeframes below. Any fees imposed by our suppliers (not included in the total tour cost) due to any cancellations will be passed on in full.

Cancellation Fees:

Prior to 30 days before transportation/tour departure: 20% deposit.
30 days to 48 hours before transportation/tour departure: 50% deposit.
Within 48 hours prior to departure or no show: 100% of total tour cost.
Cancellation after tour has commenced: 100% of total tour cost.

Any fees imposed on RSB Travel Pty Ltd by our suppliers due to cancellations will be passed on in full.

PRICES, INCLUSIONS & FEES

All prices are GST inclusive and quoted in Australian Dollars.

Quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue.

We reserve the right not to honour any quoted prices if it is outside of the quotation validity period or if we determine the quoted price was erroneous. Your transportation/tour cost is confirmed at the time of booking. We will not vary the price after we have received the total transportation/tour price from you, regardless of any increases in the costs incurred by us.

We reserve the right to alter of omit any part of an itinerary, if, due to safety reasons, the destination/activity is not accessible as a result of road closures. Our Tours are subject to the venues & events in which we attend. If we must make an adjustment to your itinerary after a booking is made you will be provided with an alternative option.

Refundable Bond

Bond payments may apply to cover the costs of any excessive cleaning required or damage caused to the interior of the vehicle. Where no extra cleaning or repairs are required, there will be a full refund of your bond. If your hire exceeds your allocated hours, this will be deducted from your bond.

Fees & Surcharges

A fee of $110.00 per hour, or part thereof, applies for wait times for airport transfers due to flight delays.*
10% surcharge applies on Saturdays
20% surcharge applies on Sundays and Public Holidays
25% surcharge applies on Christmas Day and Good Friday
A fee of $110.00 per hour, or part thereof, will be charged if the time goes over the allocated itinerary/pick-up time between 07:00 and 19:00.
A fee of $220.00 per hour, or part thereof, will be charged if the time goes over the allocated itinerary/pick-up time between 19:00 and 07:00.

*For inbound flights that are delayed or cancelled the client is responsible for advising Coal River Coaches at least 1 hour prior to scheduled arrival. Last minute changes to bookings will be approved only if it is viable to do so. If a transfer is cancelled due to last minute changes that cannot be accommodated the full price of the transfer will be charged.

We reserve the right to change rates without notice. This may be due to significant petrol price increase or other reasons outside of our control.

Luggage & Flight Changes

If passengers have more than standard luggage (e.g. 1 standard suitcase and 1 carry on per person), the onus is on the booking party to inform when booking a particular vehicle. If luggage cannot be accommodated in the vehicle booked, the booking party is responsible for any additional charges that may apply. For airport transfers in small vehicles with no onboard luggage compartment Coal River Coaches provides a complimentary luggage trailer (where required).

PASSENGER OBLIGATIONS

For the benefit of all passengers and driver safety, we reserve the right to reject any person as a passenger whose conduct or health is deemed incompatible with the interests of other participants. If while on tour a person’s conduct or health is deemed inappropriate or incompatible by a representative of RSB Travel Pty Ltd we reserve the right to remove the person from the tour and terminate the contract with no further responsibility to provide services.

RSB Travel Pty Ltd will take all due care to cater to requests. You as the client are responsible for providing any special requests with advanced notice, this may include but is not limited to; dietary requirements and accessibility requirements. RSB Travel Pty Ltd assumes no liability where suppliers are unable to grant special requests due to a change in the supplier’s circumstances. However, if RSB Travel Pty Ltd is aware that a specific request would not be able to be granted prior to a booking being made you will be informed and provided with a suggestion of a suitable alternative.

Tour Leaders and Coach Captains are unable to act as a carer for any specific passenger. Many of our vehicles are all-ability coaches and we are proud to offer our assistance where possible and where it is safe for our employees, and operators to do so.

You must refer to destination specific terms disclosed as part of your accepted quotation or on your tour brochure as this forms party of the agreement between RSB Travel Pty Ltd and yourself.

We encourage you to source appropriate Travel Insurance to cover you in the case you have to cancel your transportation/tour. You as the client are responsible for arranging the necessary entry requirements when visiting Tasmania, Australia. If you fail to take the necessary steps, we have no liability to you.

Alcohol

Government regulations prohibit consumption of alcohol on all modes of transport, except carriers having licence or special permits to do so. The consumption of alcohol on Coal River Coaches vehicles is prohibited.

Your driver will stow your alcohol for you in a secure locker for the duration of your journey. Any alcohol consumed aboard the coach or deliberately concealed from the driver for the purposes of sharing or having a drink with travel companions, will result in the confiscation of the alcohol and in some instances, may cause the driver to refuse the offender transport.

Our priority is the safety of all our traveling passengers, and we appreciate your assistance in complying with our regulations on alcohol.

ASSUMPTION OF RISK

By submitting a booking and/or any or all payment for your transportation/tour you acknowledge that you understand all written information provided by RSB Travel Pty Ltd, along with the inherent risks associated with participating in a tour or activity. Please be aware that during your participation of a tour, certain risks and dangers may arise beyond our control, including, but not limited to, the hazards of traveling to undeveloped areas, travel by various means of transport, the forces of nature, political unrest and accident or illness in remote regions without means of rapid evacuation or medical facilities. We will not have any liability regarding the provision of medical care or the adequacy of any care that may be rendered. We will try to ensure that adequate measures are taken.

All travel involves risks. We strongly recommend you take out comprehensive travel insurance with a reputable insurance company to cover you against risks associated with your tour including cover for loss of luggage, medical expenses and costs and expenses incurred due to cancellations, delays or other disruptions.
